Johnson Controls involvement in Hall of Fame Resort

It is known as Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls is staying, however, there’s a conflict between the two parties. Johnson Controls is seeking to stop its multi-million dollar naming rights agreement together with Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Co. that has been building the resort. A SEC report states that both Parties had violated their contract. Johnson Controls seeks $4.75million in damages. HOF Resort plans to defend its claims.

The issue is centered around payments and charges. Hall of Fame Resort operates as a non-profit organization with the designation Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company. It’s distinct from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The conflict with Johnson Controls and Hall of Fame Village has been ongoing from the end of November, 2016.

Hall of Fame Resort sees revenue growth

Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company is making strides to generate more revenue from the downtown hotel and its activities. It has been also focusing its efforts on the building of its new Ohio gaming facility. It recently revealed its financial results for the second quarter that showed increased revenues and a profit after adjustment to the accounting system. The company discussed in a recent earnings conference how they were able generate income even when the state may soon consider allowing betting on sports.

Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company was founded in 2015. It’s a major entertainment, media and sports company. The company’s revenue grew 10% in the first Quarter of Fiscal 2022. The reason for this was its Hall of Fame Village, that is operated through Johnson Controls. Revenue increased by 10% in comparison to the identical period of last year. The company is also a partner in partnership with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in order to capitalize on the possibilities for pro football.
